The Meeting Place is a modern facility resulting from our Renovation scheme in 2012. Inside our traditional-looking church building is a multi-purpose community space. Downstairs, The Main Space is a large, flexible hall area with hatch access to a fully-equipped kitchen with commercial water heater, fast-cycle dishwasher and dual-fuel range cooker. A disabled toilet with baby-change and three further toilets are provided, as well as a cleaning cupboard and large store room with lockable cupboard space for usergroups. Equipment available for use includes chairs, tables, staging and piano.
Upstairs, The Upper Room is a light and airy space, with tables and comfortable seating, suitable for smaller group activities or meetings. Large windows overlook the Main Space (with blinds if required). A refreshment unit with drink-making facilities and sink is provided. A platform lift gives wheelchair and disabled access to this room.
A versatile sound system and ceiling-mounted projector and screen are installed in the Main Space. Both the Main Space and Upper Room have microphone and CD inputs and are served by hearing loops. The sound from the Main Space can also be output through the speakers in the Upper Room if required.
