Our Facilities

The Meeting Place is available for hire at competitive rates, with discounts for community groups and long-term bookings. See below for details of our rooms, facilities and equipment. Please contact us if you are interested in renting part or all of our building or have any questions.

The Meeting Place is a new facility resulting from our recent Renovation scheme. Inside our traditional-looking church building is a modern, multi-purpose community space. Downstairs, The Main Space is a large, flexible hall area with hatch access to a fully-equipped kitchen with commercial water heater, fast-cycle dishwasher and dual-fuel range cooker. A disabled toilet with baby-change and three further toilets are provided, as well as a cleaning cupboard and large store room with lockable cupboard space for usergroups. Equipment available for use includes chairs, tables, staging and piano.

Upstairs, The Upper Room is a light and airy space, with tables and comfortable seating, suitable for smaller group activities or meetings. Large windows overlook the Main Space (with blinds if required). A refreshment unit with drink-making facilities and sink is provided. A platform lift gives wheelchair and disabled access to this room.

A versatile sound system and ceiling-mounted projector and screen are installed in the Main Space. Both the Main Space and Upper Room have microphone and CD inputs and are served by hearing loops. The sound from the Main Space can also be output through the speakers in the Upper Room if required.

We also have a Prayer Room which is left open much of the time when other parts of the building are either in use or closed. This is a small room with comfortable chairs and many items to aid prayer or contemplation. Entry is via the door from Chapel Street, which is open whenever the "Peace and Quiet available inside" sign is placed outside the door.
